The Witcher's Rats Spin: Netflix's Rumored Spin-Off Show Explored
The most recent on this The Witcher spin-off originates from Daniel RPK (via Romanian Intelligence). Romanian was the first to share information on the supposed spin-off initially and reported on a few of the details Daniel RPK shared through his Patreon page.
Netflix's The Witcher is apparently getting yet another spin-off focused on the Rats, a group of young ne'er- do-well wrongdoers who cross courses with Cirri in the books. Despite Netflix not yet verifying that this show is in the works, we've already gotten brand-new details on the Rats spin-off including a working title and even a log line to share more insights into the story that'll be told in this Netflix adjustment.
The working title for this show is reportedly Riff RAAF, and filming on this Rats-focused series is supposedly going to get underway in April. This information suggest that the shooting will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, and while there's no indicator yet as to how long the series will be, the assumption based upon the recording window of April to September has some thinking that there will be between 6 and 8 episodes.
A lot of fascinating of all is the log line for Riff RAAF which helps set up our story:
Six teenage burglars must depend on their criminal skills as they plan the most significant heist of their careers versus the most dangerous crime ring in the kingdom, the log line for the show previewed.
As Romanian pointed out, The Witcher fans can piece together parts of the story based on previous context pertaining to the Rats. If the log line is accurate and there are undoubtedly six members of the Rats being focused on in this program, that would put us in a time before the Rats satisfied up with Cirri. Possibly they'll encounter her at some point towards the end of the show or will make some recommendation or another to tie the series back into the bigger timeline developed by The Witcher, however it's too early to state when Netflix hasn't even confirmed anything about the show's presence.

Next up for The Witcher fans is Season 3 of the program which is scheduled to be launched in Summer 2023. We got details on that new season recently, too, consisting of a title for the very first episode.
